No matter how many people have written about a similar experience, none of them are you

The world of literature is not short on memoirs. Still, there is room for one more — yours. You’ve been thinking about it for several years because you have a personal story you want to share with the world.
Perhaps you haven’t written your memoir because you don’t know where to begin or how to complete it. Maybe you fear hurting someone’s feelings or being sued for destroying someone’s reputation. Taking time to ask yourself why you haven’t written your book yet may be the best place to start.
If your theme focuses on trauma, make sure that you have the mental stamina to dig into your past for six to twelve months. Before you start writing, have a support system intact to keep you mentally stable.
Getting the Words Out
If you have never written anything of significant length, getting out 60,000 words will prove challenging. Like running a marathon, a pre-requisite routine must be met. Marathon training schedules outline weekly running tasks over four months. However, the schedule does not start with zero.
