Since my recent story on getting started as a science writer, several people have asked my advice on where to publish. Few aspiring writers have the confidence or experience to pitch New Scientist or Aeon. At least not in the first month. Even carlzimmer, Rebecca Skloot, and Ed Yong had to start somewhere.
